China swallowed Tibet in the late fifties. None in the world had the guts to question it. It declared war on India in 1962 just because it gave asylum to the Dalai Lama and India could not emerge victorious in the war as China was superior in military strength.
All this happened in spite of Nehru 's promotion of "Indo-China Bhai Bhai". The then premier of China Chou-en - Lai stabbed Nehru at the back.Now the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty is again promoting Indo-China relations, all may be with very good intention.
Can China however ever be trusted?
Indian Commerce minister Kamal Nath's trip to China had to be cancelled due to China's behavior. But China care two hoots for India or for that matter anyone in the world. ( You have seen how adamant and cruel they were in oppressing Tibetan protesters during the recent Olympic torch run. You all know they lead in piracy of software and hardware and does not care for IntellectualProperty Rights)
It has taken possession of Indian border areas and has been claiming Arunachal Pradesh. It has dictated the proviso of Indian Govrnment's protocol. It dictated to India that its VP will not meet Dalai Lama !!. It called Nirupa Rao, the Indian Ambassador to China, at 2. A.M. to lodge its protest. Diplomatic audacity !!! Still Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul are very friendly with Chinese government. Rahul is planning to visit China again. What for ?
Now to cap all, China is claiming Sikkim ! At this rate they will soon lay claim to all neighbouring border states !!. They have put roads upto Everest. They have already built the longest and tallest railway upto Lhasa in Tibet. It is now evident all these activities had a motive behind-to annexe as much areas as possible from India, Nepal and Bhutan.
China is a threat to entire humanity.The world should come united now and curb China lest it will become a real dragon!

very practical thoughts, poured vehemently, we indians need to take it earnestly , at least i do support and share his fears
China was a friend during Nehru's earlier ears.Things started deteriorating when Nikita Khuruschev took reins of Communist party in Russia, a different wind was blowing those days.This was not liked by Chou en lai. He requested Nehru to condemn Khuruschev . Nehru did not notice what was happening inside Russia. He fumbled on the diplomatic front siding with the russians. Indian defence was quite weak, because our leaders has no foresight. They are still not
investing enough on research and development for the services. Forget China for a while and look at our other neighbors Bangladesh[ULFA,TNVF,AL QAEDA], Pakistan[*****], Nepal[GORKHA, NAXALITES, ISI] Burma[NAGA,KUKI,MIZO,MAOISTS]. It took Vajpayee five years to destoy extremists camps in Bhutan.So,the scenerio is bleak once again. Rulers are more interested in selling telecom licences. No one knows what experience external affairs minister is having. R&D in defence? See last six years actual spending.
I dont want to add our weaknesses, we are a great country, we solved 26/11 crisis in Mumbai.
